Under directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, The Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) approved the first batch of housing subsidy beneficiaries in 2023, which includes 502 beneficiaries with a total of 378AED million.

The payment included for those of loans and grants in all regions of Sharjah, and its distributed over new construction, completion, addition and maintenance, and ownership of government housing. 

It also approved the list of those exempted from repaying housing loans, amounting to 41 beneficiaries, reaching 29AED million.
