His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued a number of Emiri Decrees regarding the formation of four district councils: two in Sharjah and two in Khorfakkan. The council will elect a vice-chairman at its inaugural meeting, chosen from among its members by consensus or a direct secret ballot, with a majority vote of those in attendance. The vice-chairman will take on the chairman's duties in their absence or if the position becomes vacant. The decree specifies that the term for members of the district council will last four years, beginning from the date of its formation. The council will continue to operate until a new council is appointed, even after the current term concludes. Members whose terms have ended may be considered for reappointment for one additional term.

His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued an Emiri Decree regarding the formation of Al Rahmaniya District Council in Sharjah. The decree appoints Ahmed Saif Ahmed bin Hanzal Al Tamimi as chair of the Al Rahmaniya District Council. The council will also include the following members: Sultan Abdulrahman Saif Al Asam Al Suwaidi, Sami Hassan Saleh Boukafil Al Ali, Mohammed Dawood Suleiman Al Dhaheri, Waleed Obaid Mohammed Al Hosan Al Shamsi, Mohammed Hassan Khalifa bin Surour Al Ketbi, Kholoud Ahmed Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Sheikha Omran Salem Al Quraidi Al Shamsi.

The decree appoints Abdullah Mohammed Obaid bin Rukan Al Shamsi chairman of the Al Hamriyah District Council. The council will also include the following members: Khalid Saeed Obaid Al Shamsi, Hamid Khalfan Obaid Al Shamsi, Matar Juma Khalifa Al Shamsi, Nasser Khalifa Salem Al Awaini, Muhammad Rashid bin Rukan Al Ali, Maha Abdullah Hamid Al Shamsi, Hessa Salem Sultan Al Shamsi.

The decree appoints Khamis Salem Khamis Musallam Al Naqbi chairman of Al Hawami District Council in Khorfakkan. The council will also include the following members: Abdullah Ali Mohammed bin Aboud Al Naqbi, Mohammed Abdullah Mohammed Al Jarrah Al Hammadi, Naeemi Ali Mubarak Al Shehhi, Ali Yousef Ali Saqr Al Hammadi, Talal Hassan Jalal Ahmed Al Houti, Dr Amina Yousef Khalfan Al Naqbi, Abeer Ismail Ahmed Khalifa Al Hosani.

The council will also include the following members: Khalid Ali Abdullah Al Raisi, Ibrahim Khalil Al Hosani, Ali Khamis Ahmed Al Naqbi, Mohammed Ali Mohammed Tahsoon Al Shehhi, Ali Ahmed Mohammed Al Qawadi Al Hammadi, Nawal Mohammed Abdullah Al Hammadi, Mariam Saeed Ali Alai Al Naqbi.
