Ruler of Sharjah launches new project to provide Emiratis jobs in private sector

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued directives for the launch of the “Sultan Al Qasimi Emiratisation Project”, which aims to provide Emirati jobseekers with appropriate job opportunities in the private sector.

The project offers many advantages, the most important of which is that the Emirati employees will be under the umbrella and protection of the Sharjah government.

Under this scheme, Emiratis employed in the private sector will receive the same salary government employees receive, and get the same job level. The Sharjah government will bear the costs and expenses of salary differences between the private and government sector.

The project will protect Emirati employees from employers’ overpower and abuse. The Emirati employees in the private sector will also benefit from the Sharjah government’s health insurance and will fall under the umbrella of the Sharjah Social Security Fund.

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah directed Sharjah Department of Statistics and Community Development (DSCD) to launch Job Seekers Survey Questionnaire for Sharjah citizens, who are registered with the Department of Human Resources in the Emirate, to fill out the Survey Questionnaire not later than September 10.
