His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, directed the implementation of the "Clock Tower" project in Kalba, at a height of 45m. The tower will overlook 4 main roads, Buhairah, the government buildings and the flagpole.

The tower, which is a landmark of Kalba, can be reached via a walkway and a ground tunnel, with elevators to reach its top. It can also be seen from far away, day and night, and will not overlook residential homes, to maintain the privacy of families. Sheikh Sultan drew the tower himself, taking care of all issues to preserve the privacy of the people.
