His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, affirmed that the children of Emirati women have all the rights that Emiratis receive, including the housing grants, work opportunities, salaries and retirement, pointing out that the decision has been in effect since three years ago, as it was issued within a package of decisions at the time to promote the full implementation of women's equality in respect of rights.
His Highness’s words came during an intervention he made Thursday via the live show, The Direct Line programme, broadcast on Sharjah Radio and TV.
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah added: “If an Emirati man got married to a non-Emirati woman, he obtains all his rights, and if an Emirati woman got married to a non-Emirati man, she and her children have all the rights, such as work opportunities, salaries, retirement and housing grants, adding that a large numbers of children of Emirati women have received housing.”
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah concluded his speech by saying: “Emirati women are our daughters, and we will stand with them and their children, a work is underway now to help the children of Emirati women to obtain housing grant.”
