His Highness launches German version of “Bibi Fatima” book

Sultan announces a cooperation agreement with UNESCO

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has announced a cooperation agreement with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) for the translation books from Arabic into other languages and from foreign languages into Arabic, which will be signed during the Sharjah International Book Fair, starts on 30 October.

This came during His Highness’ speech on Wednesday, at the launching ceremony of the German version of His Highness’ book “Bibi Fatima and The King’s Sons” at Frankfurt.

During the launching ceremony, His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah pointed out the importance of the cooperation with UNESCO to keep away from the reprehensible writings in various sciences, stressing the importance of continuing such agreements with one of the most competent authorities in this field.

During his speech, His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah thanked Dr. George Olmes, the founder and CEO of the Olmes Publishing House, which translates the works of His Highness into German, His Highness stressed that for 40 years it was our activity to translate Arabic books into other languages.

His Highness pointed out the importance of gatherings with writers and publishers in various countries and regions, stressing that this gathering is particularly humane, to stimulate memory and preserve these gatherings in all countries.

His Highness pointed out that there are many problems that have faced the Arab and Islamic region since ancient times.

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah pointed out that facing these challenges is to stand with each other, added that in his annual meetings with writers, publishers and intellectuals in different countries find great hope and common concern.

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah concluded his speech by emphasising the cooperation among civilisations in these fields.
