His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, said today that culture, in all its forms, including theatre, arts, poetry, fiction, literature, and sciences, and knowledge constitutes a solid tool for protecting societies against all the besetting challenges that pose menacing threats to their identity, ethics and religion.

H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan made the remarks in a speech he delivered at the opening ceremony of the 31st edition of the Sharjah Theatrical Days, which was organised by the Department of Culture, in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of Sharjah Executive Council, and H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, this evening at the Culture Palace.

His Highness expressed a great joy for the return of  Sharjah Theater Days in 2022 after a hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic. 

His Highness invited all those interested in the world of theater to attend and participate in the event where there is no place for hatred or conflict.
