His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has announced the granting fully funded scholarships with accommodation for all the young Arab to study at Sharjah Performing Arts Academy (SPAA), which aims to create a new knowledgeable generation in the field of theater.
His Highness stressed the continuation full financial and academic support to study theatrical performance, reiterating his determination to provide the SPAA with the latest equipment to ensure continued links and sharing of experience and information, local and international institutions.
That was announced during the speech of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, at the closing ceremony of the third edition of Sharjah GCC Theatre Festival on Tuesday, at Culture Palace.
During his speech, His Highness said: "To people of the theater, I think everyone is happy with the level that we have reached by developing the theatre.” His Highness also stressed his continues support to the theatrical field in all Arab countries, and especially the youth, to inherit theatre.
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, added that besides the supported efforts, the upcoming period is the process of creating a new generation, where the knowledge comes, and the establishment of the SPAA to become the centre for the people of theatre.
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah also said: "The inauguration of the academy will be soon, where the faculty members has completed, as well as the equipment. We bet that there is no academy at this level, which has planned with a group of international experts to establish this academy. The SPAA undertake British teachers, who can train, teach, and apply knowledge.”
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah announced fully-funded scholarships for all those who will be admitted to the academy from all Arab countries. Pointing out the importance of talent to the admission process.
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah announced: “Sharjah Performing Arts Academy can accommodate up to 100 students, and high cost because of the equipment, education, and teaching, but to all those who will join SPAA, it will be fully-funded, however, it only requires talents to be qualified to study at the academy.” His highness also added that the main goal is to knowledge students and transfer the experiences of the theatre people.
