His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, held a television interview broadcast on the channel of the Sharjah Media Corporation on Thursday, during which His Highness had a debate with Mohammed Hasan Khalaf, Director General of Sharjah Media Corporation.

His Highness talked about his latest publications, the reasons of its production and composition, and explained their literary, intellectual and historical values.

Contests between His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi, and His friend Mohammed Abdulaziz Al Siddiqi.

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah began a the interview  about this  book "Poetry debates between Sheikh Sultan Bin Saqr Al Qasimi and his friend, Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul-Aziz Al Siddiqui" and that is at the  beginning of the reign of Sheikh Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi  to Emirate of Sharjah in 1925.

His Highness added, Sheikh Sultan bin Saqr inherited the poetic talent from his father, where Sheikh Saqr  had  beautiful poems.

The Ruler of Sharjah, pointed the reasons that made His Highness more concerned with literature and poetry specifically, His Highness said: "If Arabism is sinking ,then its saving boat is culture and poetry. So as much as our interest in culture, we must focus on the poetry.

His Highness said that there are many things  entered  on the poetry , so there are many people who are unable to come with vertical poetry , and here we say to them say about what you write whatever you want, say it is a piece of literature or good prose, but don’t say it is a poetry , of course there are those who reject it and there are those who accept it, and because of that we entered into conflicts which no need, so now we restore the value of the poetry , we bring it together, and , we have also succeeded  in giving opportunities to many poets who have become ignorant of neglect or to the young people who have not body to care of them.

His Highness noted, we are in two ways, taking care of the well-known adult poets. We raise their values and give them an opportunity in forums, because Poetry must have a voice in forums. In another way we care of the young people and we rewrite their writings again with the care to correct some of what they write and we publish what they write in the annual forum, in more than the capital and the Arab city, this has grown the poetry again and gave the opportunity to the young poets, we care of cultural,literature, novel and story, all this we take care to promote this nation not to return it as it was before but to promote it as more than that ,even in the theatre , and heritage and above all to take care of the Arabic language, now you have seen assemblies of the Arabic language deployed in the Arab world, and now reached the stages to be influential in the daily decision of governments, and That's what matters to us.

After that His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah went on to speak about the book "A Momentous Journey", the complete manuscript of the book Duarti  Barbosa 1565. His Highness recalled his study days at Durham University.  His Highness said  "When I was studying in the Department of Geography at Durham University, I collected many maps ,and I put it in a book , some of  the maps are  original,  including a map of the calligraphy called "Qusdali" so in the map he placed the city of Kalba south of the Julphar, and beside Sharjah, I studied Qusdali, and from where he came from the source, and I found that if he wanted to draw a maps he goes back to the Arab Travelers  or what they wrote in their travels ,and how they describe the places.

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah added I have a book its name (Deep-Seated Malice) it is  a clear accusation, in this book I wrote and searched for Casteneda, and  what he said, in the eighth volume has nothing, but in the ninth and tenth have a lot of  things , and now I am looking for his papers from which he copied the book, because it burned, but I will find that, in some old libraries, to check or track a manuscript, it gives  you part of history and truth.

On the name of Julphar and Ras Al Khaimah, His Highness said: "Julphar  is the head of the coast. It is an Armenian colony, its people were traders (trade in the Gulf distributed ports to a major port and sub-ports). So when we say Bahrain it means the distribution responsibility is in the Island, when we say Muscat or Sohar they distribute internally, but Julphar port distributed to the place where we are here . 

The Ruler of Sharjah added, when we come to the other side , we find Bandar Abbas or Bushehr are main port, Any way  Ras Al Khaimah  not on the coast  it is in side.

About His Highness book (I Condemn) His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah said, the Muslims of Andalusia no one care of them, even the Islamic countries could not help them. The kings of Spain, at the time, committed many tragedies in their right to evangelisation, murder, executions, exile and displacement.

The Ruler of Sharjah confirmed that His Highness was able to obtain the original documents, which stamped with the king's stamp. It is not the personal judgment of the army's leaders, but the King and the Queen. What is written in this  book is fact and I can offer it to any court now.

About His Highness book (Tale of A City) the Ruler of Sharjah said that is not new, it was issued last year with 7 chapters, and it was customary to have a basic book at the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF), I reached  the sixth chapter, and  linked  its events to gather,  then I wrote the seventh chapter, then  I found the time is short , and the time of SIBF is coming.

Therefore, I decided to close it in the culture, in the poetry, or in the theatre so that the reader remains in his memory the last book. Then I wrote about the Sharjah victory on the British army and how we knee them and that was a very good end.

About the documents, not mention before His Highness said that many of Jews who entered Palestine passed through Sharjah, from Austria, Germany, Poland, the Netherlands and Russia to China, and returned them via Hong Kong to Sharjah, and from Sharjah, to Palestine Airport Lod. His Highness did not reveal everything in the book to open the door to the reader.

About Al Qawasim, His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah said: "The Qawasim encyclopedia is not completed. The next book will contain 3 volumes and I hope to fulfilled. It is about Al  Qawiasmi and their struggle with the other powers in the period of their presence in Mecca and Iraq until they reached the coast here. . If I can put one part in it is good, otherwise, I will jump to complete what is completed and the rest it will come later.

His Highness concluded His talk by saying "If I writing in history, I write in literature, theatre and poetry. I am also passionate about geography and there are many writings to come, “His Highness concluded.
