His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has made great efforts to secure a decent life for the people of the Emirate, overcoming the obstacles, which they face through debt repayment and providing housing for them.
His Highness said: «I am working to raise the standard of living of 25181 families by paying their debts and settling their rents and fulfilling their housing needs, so that the salary, which they receive, shall be sufficient to meet their daily needs of food, drink and clothing».
His Highness classified families into three categories: «A» Category is of average income with a total of 8181 Families, which receive a salary of 22 Thousand Dirhams, «B» Category is 8887 Families with average income, which receive a salary of 16 Thousand Dirhams and «C» Category is of low income between 10 – 12 Thousand Dirhams.
The number of this category is 8113 Families. His Highness confirmed that he is working to raise the standard of living of these categories. His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah stressed in a telephone intervention via the Live Broadcast Program on Sharjah TV and Radio that all recommendations emanating from Consultative Council of Sharjah are directly presented to him. Furthermore, the Executive Council is only addressed by him.
His Highness continued saying: «We are now talking about a large number of residents of Sharjah, some of them have a large salary and their problems are greater than the amount of salary. I say: we will solve the problems respectively, but the most needed is the one whom we will reach firstly».
His Highness added that Al Shahba area has many problems. All these problems are currently being handled and addressed by the Departments in terms of Housing, Roads and Sanitation.
His Highness called for not to be extravagant or distillate. He wished for everyone a life of dignity, educating and raising a generation on the basis of commitment to religion, customs and traditions, blessing everyone for the coming of the Holy Month of Ramadan, demanding investing this month in removing any differences, avoidance or disaffection and giving attention to mosques and visiting and maintaining them.
