His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, affirmed that growth and development that Sharjah enjoyed during the years of the rule of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah reached all the Emirate’s people who are aware of the achievement, work, diligence and leadership of His Highness, in addition to the exerted efforts and great interest that contributed to the improvement of people's lives, and the good directives of His Highness to all employees in different institutions, parents, community leaders so that Sharjah continues to develop and progress.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah's coming into power, His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi said that on this immortal day, the 25th of January, Sharjah celebrates with pride and honour the great achievements for the people of the emirate and for the United Arab Emirates, through 50 years, under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

The crown prince added that efforts were complemented and continued to provide an integrated and distinguished experience in development, community building, advancement, construction and reconstruction.

He further said that in the early years, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah assumed the responsibility of the emirate, Sharjah began a new era marked with comprehensive development under the leadership of His Highness who led the people of Sharjah with deep knowledge and wise vision.

He continued by saying that Sharjah lives the joy of these great achievements and celebrates what has been realised in the smiling emirate during the past 50 years.  He added that the people of Sharjah remember and read history with the new generations when His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah laid solid and sustainable foundations for building the society in the emirate that transcended the concepts of the era at that time and built a clear scientific strategy for the present and the future. This comprehensive strategy that His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah worked on took into account the originality and adherence to heritage, traditions and good morals on which parents and grandparents grew up so that all these deeply rooted values constitute an identity for the future generations.

The Crown Prince stressed that in the distinguished experience of the Emirate of Sharjah over the past years, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi has worked to establish major rules in the leadership of societies, which began by consolidating the rules of organised government work and the principles of shura and participation through the establishment of the Executive Council to follow up the implementation of the plans and policies of development programmes for all government institutions, announcing the Consultative Council of the Emirate of Sharjah as one of the modern models for the development of government work, along with the Shura Councils for Children and Youth, many councils and specialised committees to involve all Sharjah community in public affairs.

He explained that His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah has also worked to establish the values of friendship, cooperation, compassion and solidarity through different programmes and initiatives over the years to include various social, economic, educational, knowledge, sports and other aspects.  Moreover, through His Highness's communication and closeness to people, in addition to the great achievements and projects in the environment, education, arts, culture, theatre, family care, education and health, Sharjah has won leading international position as the first child- and age-friendly city, the world capital of the book, the capital of culture and tourism and other international titles that speak of the great renaissance led by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, with wisdom, power and love for Sharjah and people.

Sharjah Crown Prince concluded by extending thanks to the father, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, wishing him a long life of health, wellness and happiness.

Abdullah bin Salem: Sharjah Ruler shaped Emirate's history

Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, stated: "On January 25, 2022, Sharjah will commemorate the fifth anniversary of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah’s accession to throne."

The Deputy Ruler of Sharjah highlighted: "Fifty years of progress, expansion, and modernisation of society, as well as years of good governance, aspirational directives, and family building via a strong emphasis on the person, institutions, bodies, and integrated concepts for the Emirate's reconstruction and development. Five decades have passed, during which His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah enhanced great traditions of devotion, building, expansion, and development of society." 

Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi added: “During these years, His Highness presented the essence of his experience and knowledge to educate and qualify leaders for various sites, ensuring that the civilisational reformation, founded on science, knowledge, wise leadership, and people, which distinguished Sharjah and its extensive programmes in various fields of human development and advancement, continues."

"The perceptive vision of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah served as the foundation for the various institutions established in the Emirate," he said. “His Highness watched and supervised all tasks, leading and directing with the traits of a great leader until the Emirate transformed into a massive work cell and evolved to become today's Sharjah. One of the world's most successful instances of distinct human growth.”

Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi went on to say: "We celebrate these fifty years of continuous development, and we celebrate with pride a true national experience that reached the world with all its great interest in the individual at various stages of his life according to a clear programme established by His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, with a belief that the development of society begins with human development and that knowledge, science, and technology are the foundations of human progress."

Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi emphasised that the Emirate of Sharjah's prosperity and development since His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi assumed over indicates the genuineness of His Highness' humanitarian initiative, maintaining that various institutions have grown in the fields of education and culture including theatre, poetry, literature, and fine arts, as well as the health, educational, cognitive, urban, economic, commercial, and environmental fields, and in programmes, conferences and book festivals, and other main cornerstones to advance individual knowledge until the Emirate became a global symbol of culture.  

He concluded: “On this day, which is so dear to the hearts of all the people of Sharjah, we say: Thank you, our father, Your Highness, Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, may God protect you."

Sultan bin Ahmed: Sharjah Ruler led renaissance based on culture

Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, affirmed that His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, led over five decades a modern renaissance based on culture and knowledge and presented a unique model in giving and wisdom.

Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed said; on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah's accession in the emirate : "On this distinguished day in the history of the Emirate of Sharjah, we celebrate fifty years of successive achievements presided by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, leader of the modern renaissance in the emirate and builder of civilization, science and progress. Fifty years Sharjah began a new era of advancing science based on the meanings of belonging and pride in its rich history and enlightenment with scientific knowledge. Fifty years of integrated development proceeded in all its aspects based on human development that reflect the strategy set by His Highness to make Sharjah as a prominent landmark and a realistic model for great giving, great wisdom and the development of societies.”

Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed added: "Throughout the past years, over half a century, we lived in the emirate, where various development projects have been implemented in various fields, as the Ruler of Sharjah laid the first building stones of the general strategy, which represents the advanced way to bright society based on the human being , the belief in his abilities and the enhancement of his capabilities and skills".

At the end of his speech, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed added : "After fifty years and the fruitful progress that the Emirate of Sharjah has reached, and the same path led by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah who pave all ways to complete the foundations of modern and advanced life and provided a bright future through the education and culture of its children.. We say: “Thank you, our father, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, may God protect you and give you a long life in health, wellness and happiness.”
