Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, President of the University of Sharjah, said that the Emirate of Sharjah, has, since the accession of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, embarked on a path of education, authentic Arab and Islamic culture and values that raises humans and society.

Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed said, in an interview with Al-Khaleej newspaper, on the 51st anniversary of His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah’s accession: “since the accession of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the emirate preserved the authentic Arab and Islamic values, the environment and other areas that elevate man and society. Sharjah has seen notable growth in all fields. Likewise, thanks to the vision and directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, it managed to occupy a supreme position in various international forums. We also mention, crowning Sharjah as the capital of Arab and Islamic culture, and a world book capital. Besides choosing it as a child-friendly and age-friendly city. Along with other titles that reflect the renaissance and comprehensive development in the emirate that heralds a prosperous future.

Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi added: “His Highness, the Ruler of Sharjah, is keen to provide factors for a decent life for the citizens of the Emirate, and to harness capabilities to raise the standard of living for its residents. We work through the institutions affiliated with the Sharjah Media Council to communicate the community’s voice to leadership and the government through the “Direct Line” program, broadcasted by the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, which deals with issues, and helps to solve the difficulties facing some individuals, by presenting them to officials in the Emirate.

The media office monitors news related to Sharjah, in addition to observations that appear in newspapers or social networking sites on a daily basis, to create a solution as soon as possible through the concerned authority.
