In the introduction, His Highness Ruler of Sharjah outlined the story of a man who came to the East, with inherited hatred and grudges from his involvement in the Crusades wars in North Africa and the Mediterranean. Alfonso de Albuquerque came to the East with the intention of demolishing the Kaaba and exhume the tomb of the Prophet - may Allah bless him and grant him peace- to bargain his pure body with the holy places of Christians around Jerusalem. He also had the illusion of diverting the River Nile from Ethiopia to the Red Sea, so that Egypt turned into a barren desert, easy for him to occupy and establishing a base linking the Red Sea with the Mediterranean Sea, thus securing the trade route for Portugal with India. But Allah subjected him to defeat, as the defeat of the Companions of the Elephant. A storm drove him from the Red Sea to the coast of the Horn of Africa.
